Sydney tours.

Surry Hills & Darlinghurst Precinct Tour
The longstanding home of the fashion and textile trade, it’s not surprising that Surry Hills has become Sydney’s favourite suburb for designers and makers to go about their business. From jewellers and textile designers to fashion labels and architects - some reveal their work proudly to the public, others create theirs in the many communal studio spaces afforded by old warehouse buildings. From Object’s home on Bourke Street, explore the neighbourhood to meet creative souls from all walks of design who have carved out their very personal niche.
Paddington Precinct Tour
Many of Sydney’s fashion designers have found international fame and - in some cases - fortune. For most, the journey started somewhere along or just off Oxford Street, and some of Sydney’s most celebrated fashion labels surfaced for the first time at Paddington Market, which sits at the heart of this itinerary. From design celebrities to artisan glassmakers, and newcomers to the fashion fold, this walk will introduce you to the creativity that surrounds this precinct and has designers share their journeys in their own words.
Focus on Furniture Tour
While it is one of the most glamorous and enjoyable areas of design, Australian furniture designers embark on a much tougher route than their European counterparts. Sydney is home to a vibrant community of furniture makers, all of whom have found their very individual approach to sustain their practice. Learn more about what inspires this city’s designers by visiting the stores and galleries showing their work, and hear the designers speak about their journey in their own words.
